How To Detox Naturally

It is possible to go through an effective and natural detoxification 30 day program that is gentle to the body. Thirty days is the usual length of time that it takes to see real results and to acquire new habits that will continue to improve your long term health. Such a natural detox method involves making some lifestyle changes in regards to the diet and exercise. A great detoxification program includes lymphatic massage, which can be done through self massage for those of you who are into self-help.

Causes Of An Accumulation Of Toxins And Wastes In The Body

Different factors can cause the accumulation of toxins and wastes in the body. For example, a diet filled with too much high quality protein, such as meat, will eventually slow the digestion system down. The digestion of processed foods, gluten causing foods, salt, chronic dehydration, air pollution, water pollution, exposure to chemicals and exposure to automobile emissions are typical causes of an accumulation of toxins and wastes.

Cells, Tissues And Organs Need Cleansing

Toxins and wastes will actually become lodged in the body’s tissues as a way of trying to clear the system. When there is an overload, the toxins and wastes will come out of the different body and execretory systems in a condition ending with "-itis", such as arthritis, nephritis, bronchitis, conjunctivitis, etc.

Spring And Fall Detoxification Or Any Time Of The Year

At one time, people used to detoxify their bodies with spring and fall tonics but that practice is not as widespread anymore. Such tonics are used as a part of a natural detox program although their use is not restricted by the season. The reasons that the season mattered is because that is when the plants would be ready to use and after winter or summer, people detoxed to cleanse their internal bodies after the season’s activities, time spent being inactive and over-indulgences. Nowadays, people will detox when they think they need to do so.

Start With And Continue To Do An Inner Cleanse Boost Throughout A Detox Program

Many people start a natural detoxification program by cleansing their internal bodies with a salt cleanse and will continue to drink detox beverages that encourage the body to detoxify throughout a detoxification program. A natural detoxification program restricts the amount of protein that a person eats. Since proteins take longer to digest, the digestion system can become sluggish and clogged if the body needs to be detoxified. The different organs, such as the lungs, kidneys, intestines, heart, skin, liver and the rest, can all be negatively affected by a toxic body and that is why is important to detoxify the body.

Exercise, Massage And Skin Care For Effective Detoxifying Of The Body

As a part of the detox program, it is necessary to exercise, use massage and skin care treatments to help the detoxification process. The lymph system runs through the entire body with organs and vessels reaching from the face to the legs and in the bone marrow. The only thing that will activate the lymph system is movement through exercise and massage. Since the lymph system a vitally important part of the immune system, that keeps us healthy, it is important to clear the lymph system through a natural detox program. Action in the lymph system can be stimulated through a few different skin care treatments.

By combining the different components of a natural detoxification program, it is possible to gain better health. Cleansing the inner body is a great way to help yourself to stay healthy. Your skin and thinking will be clearer and you will have more energy after a successful natural detoxification program.

Eliminate Processed Foods From The Diet For Effective Natural Detoxification

Processed foods are notorious for being filled with chemicals and loaded with salts and sugars.  Preservatives and other chemicals are used in the manufacture of such foods to enhance flavor, scent, color and shelf life.  Too much salt causes the body to retain water which further clogs the body's systems while fat contribes to being overweight, which also overloads the body.  When processed foods are eaten regularly, it becomes necessary to unclog the body through a detox program.

Processed Foods Are Bad For You

During a detox program, the foods that caused the toxic condition must be eliminated.  If the same processed foods continue to be eaten regularly , the detox program will not work.  Processed foods are those foods which come already prepared such as frozen pizza, pasta mixes, junk foods, frozen meals, soup mixes, spaghetti sauces, etc.  If you have not made it yourself, chances are great that it is filled with ingredients that are not good for your health.  On a detox diet, you are encouraged to include fresh fruits and vegetables in most of your meals as snacks.  These fresh foods will help to cleanse your body of toxins.

A detox diet requires some determination but when a person realizes that their health is at stake, it becomes easier to accept a drastic change in diet.  When you eliminate processed foods from your diet, it  means that you are making a change to include simpler meals made from fresh foods instead.  Foods prepared from fresh foods will be better tasting and healthier for you than any food prepared from a box or can anyways.

Eat Less Meat To Clear Your System

Eating too much meat will quickly clog your body's systems.  Since the nutritional requirement for protein for most adults can be attained through eating two pieces of meat that are the size of the palms of a person's hand, eating any more than that amount will slow the body's systems.  This is because of the length of time that it takes to digest meat.

The Digestion Of Meat Can Slow A Body Down

Digesting meat also produces more waste and toxins that the digestion of fresh fruits and vegetables.  In comparison, fresh fruits and vegetables actually help cleanse the body through their scrubbing action on the body organs.  Many vegetables and legumes have high amounts of protein that will satisfy the body's daily need for protein.  It is recommended that during a detoxification program that a person eat only the needed amount of protein necessary and that at least two meals a week are meatless.

By reducing the meat that you eat,  you will find that you have more energy when your body is not using its resources just to digest a meal.  You will also eliminate having a full feeling for long after your meals as well.

Walking And Stretching For Effective Detoxification

Since the lymphatic system cleanses itself through movement and exercise, it is nice to know that you do not need much exercise equipment for effective lymph drainage. A simple exercise routine that involves walking and stretching will encourage lymph drainage easily. A warm up and cool down stretching routine that is done before walking will prepare your body for the walk and will bring your body's cardiovascular activity down as you finish exercising.

Walk For Better Health!

You can march in place, walk around the room or house or take off outdoors to walk around the neighborhood in nice weather and at the mall during wet or cold weather. Time yourself so that you are walking at least thirty minutes with at least ten minutes of brisk walking. You can do small walking routines that last from ten to thirty minutes throughout the day. If you take even longer walks, there will be greater benefits to your health.

However you decide to take your daily walk or walke, it is sure that all this action will activate your lymph system so that it will move lymph around the body effectively. When that happens, your body is able to eliminate wastes more efficiently and your immune system is healthier. For such simple activities, the health benefits are tremendous!

Massage Is Great For Lymph Drainage

Lymph drainage is a great process that eliminates waste products and is an important part of the immune system. Besides exercise, massage is another great way to promote efficient lymph drainage. You can massage yourself by working from the outer limbs towards the heart, starting at your hands and then working up from the feet. Massage in circular and gentle motions. The siimple massaging motion is very effective for detoxifying the body's lymph glands.

You can also perform a body brushing to get the same effect. Use a vegetable bristled brush. Don't forget the underarms and behind the knees. Even a body scrub will have the same effects. Perform a massage, body brushing or body scrub once a week during a natural detoxification program.
